Why Explore Fuerteventura exists
Fuerteventura is an extraordinary island, yet many visitors only experience a very limited version of it — hotels, postcard beaches, and standard mass excursions.
At the same time, many local businesses depend on sales channels that take a significant share of the value, which often means less money stays in the island's economy.
Explore Fuerteventura was created to do things differently: to connect visitors with authentic local experiences, help independent businesses keep more of what they earn, and support a tourism model that brings more value back to the island.
It is also about responsibility. We want to help people enjoy Fuerteventura in a more conscious way — with better local recommendations, more respect for its landscapes and communities, and simple guidance on how to care for the island while exploring it.
